    couple of intercooler questions

Im looking at upgrading my intercooler this year, sometime soon. Anyways cars specs of now:

89 daytona cs 2.5(all the TII stuff on it) garrett turbo 23psi, stock ic, 1pc intake, stock tb, 3in exhaust.

Im going to be upgrading to 83lbs injectors(40+s cant keep up with e85) running probably even more boost...ya im getting greedy/addicted, plus upgrading to a t3/t4 turbo hopefully this summer, and would like to keep this intercooler when i build my 2.2 motor with either the t3/t4 turbo and put out 350-400whp, that is the loooonnnngg term goal(2-3 years). Also this year before my turbo upgrade(stocker) id like to hit high high(12.99) on slicks no weight stripping (2700lbs dry).

Anyways I got a quote from a local shop today to make me intercooler piping, going to cost 325-425 depending on bends and type of couplers used(how does that sound). Should i go with 2.25 piping, or just go to 2.5 since i do have a 52mm tb and it will be installed down the road. Should i just go all out now and get the spearco, or will an ebay suffice?

    Thanks for all the input.

    Re: couple of intercooler questions

With intercoolers I look at cross section the air will see.

    Intercooler A 22.5x3=67.5
    Intercooler B 18.1x2.75=49.8

Now they both have similar construction, so to my eye without testing then the intercooler with the larger cross section should have the lower pressure drop.
