    Socket an 88 0r 89 smec??

I'm going to socket an ecu for my csx-t with a 2.5 t-1 in it. Right now I'm running an 89 t-1 smec, but my 88 t-1 smec is just sitting in the garage. I know the 89 has more code in it than the 88, but didn't know if this would make a diference since it's going to be a custom cal anyways? Can some one clue me in on wether or not it makes a difference on which smec I use? Thanks alot. Also if anyone has a good place to get flash memory 28 pin dip chips, that would be helpfull too.

I would socket the 89 to avoid getting the code 62 if the codebase you use is based on the 89 cals. It really doesn't make much difference though.

Use either one, the code is in the chip, not the computer.

I figured out how to mask that out, though.
