New member. Not really an original turbo car, but will be turbo!

Hey everyone. Vigo found me and suggested I join up here. I've got a 3.0L Daytona, thats getting a T3/T04B turbo. So, it will be boosted. Maybe I can hang out with you guys?

Anyway, I pretty much got the car free, and aside from cosmetic things, I jumped it and drove it home. Here's some pics:

Yeah, nothing new to you guys, but since I paid next to nothing for it, I think it's in pretty good shape!

You guys have a lot of good info here, hope to contribute something cool soon!

Yeah I really like the color. Going to repaint it the same. I even like the yellow/lime green decals on it too, it just works for me. I'd like to redo the interior staying within the same color scheme, but that's if I do anything with the interior.

Hang out all you want Welcome I gotta ask though, how ever did you find a neighborhood that has perfectly matched electric blue trash cans? Did you have to search a long time?

Ahahaha! I thought every city had blue cans? Dunno, city went to these about 8 years ago, but that is a funny coincidence!

Are there many 3.0L guys on here?

if you want to boost the 3.0, talk to Ondonti (Brent), but fair warning, he can be an asshat

    Rims'll come eventually.

I've read some of Ondonti's work. I think he's putting down over 400HP? I'm only aiming for 300 this time, I need to get familiar with the peculiarities of the car. Gonna be a track toy.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

He may well be, I didn't pay attention to the post date, but I saw him say he "enjoys making 419HP on pump gas" or something like that. I hope he gets in contact with me and shares some insights.

My first goal is to put 3-350 on the ground, and see how it does at the track. I need to learn this car, and this motor, before I go all out!

Glad you found T-M. The 3.0 contingent may not be quite as large here, but in every other way i think you'll find it superior. my .02, of course...

It's cool to finally be finding and meeting some of the south and central texas turbo mopar peeps. Hopefully this trend will continue.

Speaking of, I ran into a local guy here the other night (the one I was emailing you about Vigo) he's got a 2.5 with a Garrett turbo on it from the factory? He's working on a A555 swap, but the one he ordered had a damaged shaft output housing. So he's holding on that. Cool guy though, pro racer, knows his stuff, can weld and fabricate. I'm trying to get his butt onto the forums. Anyways, I traded him a header for a 1.5L Kia Rio and a strut tower bar for the same car for some wheels he had layin around. Says they are the original V6 wheels. Once I get them on and washed up a bit I'll grab some flix. Thanks for the welcome all.

Oh by the way, I've been searching for some master rebuild kits, and have seen them for like $200 including pistons and such. I have an engine stand, but no engine building experience. Think it's time to buy a longblock, tear it down, and build a boost motor? I'd love the challenge, and it would be nice to have a fresh motor.

welcome. You might want to think about using forged pistons for your build. I also really like the color of the car.

Electric blue FTW! New paint, rims and a bulge hood would really wake it up...the car definitely has potential. Welcome to the forum

Got snowflakes on it today! I'll get some pictures up tomorrow. Electric blue is here to stay, it's just too gorgeous. Bulge hood might be kinda cool! But what would be truely great, are rear louvres like in your signature. Do they have them for the 91's?
