I hear mine is waiting for me in NJ (since last week). I need to get another housing to mount it on and then I'll be putting it on the motor.

Best pics I have, sorry should have taken more of the install. Still loven it!
Picked mine up today! Looks good. Definitely is for the 89 housing not the 88 and earlier. Going to prep the housing and hopefully get it on soon. Going to take this opportunity to give the cooling system a vinegar bath.
Was just cleaning in the garage and found this. Keep in mind I am running the FM underdrive pulley, not sure if there are any differences between theirs and the others. When I did away with the stock water pump I ran the same belt and it is just fine in length. All belts are made by Gates.

I know this thread is officially in zombie status at this point. But if anyone knows of one of these pumps that did not get used, I am interested in finding one.
It will have a good home on MeanMini.
Thanks.

Its tough to find and sort through info on how these worked out for folks.
Paul recommended removing the thermostat. What did folks do? With the 4th cyl cooling mod, there should be enough flow to prevent the electric
water pump from cavitation?
Reeves you got 127 pages of awesome in your build thread, and i'm still looking for your comments and experiences with the CSR pump...

My experiences weren't that good. It seemed to cool fine, and also was awesome to use in the pits, but it was short lived twice. Burned up the first time after 1 season (including a drag week) and I paid to have it rebuilt (which was very good price though). Burned up again after another season and this time they rebuilt under warranty. I have been afraid to reinstall it, as both times I was at the track when it died.

We need to hear from others as well, with their experience.
James, did they (or you) identify a root cause of the failures?
