Who makes the Mopar oil filters?

I've seen the line of Mopar oil filters that they are now selling at Wal-Mart, but I'd like to know who's actually making them? I've heard that thery're made by WIX, any truth to that?

    Thanks
    T

If you have one handy, see if there is a number stamped on the bottom side of the filter.

I believe they are all Frams anymore.

For the price your better off just buying a WIX. Atleast you know what you are getting

Every one of the Mopar V8 filters I've bought at Walmart have been Purolators. If you ever get to an Advanced auto you can compare them in the filter section as they have the mopar filters and purolator filters at most stores.

I went and picked up a Mopar filter at Wally World today and from what I can tell they're made by Purolator.

its funny, a few months before I got laid off they changed the boxes from just a blue and white with an M to actually saying oil filter and a pic and all that jazz. Like a week after we got the new boxes someone came in and was like I can get those at walmart. I was like go ahead, get your oil changed with recycled oil too while you are at it, also get your eyes examined, and buy dog food. I dont give a sheet where you buy your filters. But I can still buy them cheaper than him anyways lol.
The Mopar filters always seemed to have better construction. I also think it looks better than an orange filter with tar on the end.

The latest supertech branded oil and the Mobil 1 stuff are both packaged in the exact same style jug. take the stickers off and you wouldnt know the difference.

there really not that bad. they are smaller (shorter overall length) than the stock size but the construction and materials arnt bad when compared to some of the other stuff out there.
