Re: 40whp from a tube header!? Argument thread

My 89 spirit came with ZF. I ended up putting saginaw on it because my ZF tensioning bolt came loose and actually fell off, TWICE, and since i was annoyed i did the stupid thing and worked harder instead of smarter. It just needed to be double nutted, probably. But the other reason for doing the swap was that the zf pump was failing and i had all the saginaw stuff without spending money.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?

This is almost a poll at this point!! LOL

Actually not a bad idea! How about somebody start a poll on this and link it. I'm curious about what the relationship is of model year and the amounts of each pump used.

JT if you ate going to talk crap about my question, please start a 40whp from a Saginaw Pump!? Argument thread. I don't want this thread to get cluttered with chatter about the true gains from this model and take away from the facts.

Re: 40whp from a tube header!? Argument thread

I'm gonna put a Type R sticker on my car, should be good for way more of a gain than a saginaw power steering pump and tubular header combined.

Do you have some dyno sheets to back this up?

As a matter of fact I do-

As you can see it moved the peak HP up 1000rpm, total peak gain was only 55whp but at 7300 RPM it gained 85+ whp.

It seems like it's been that long since you've updated us on your new venture. I was getting ready to bump your last thread to prod you...

Ha! Time is precious these days as we're incredibly busy. Thanks for thinking of us though!

If that thread doesn't have it, follow us on Facebook or Instagram, searching for Nth Moto of course.

I actually jumped back on here on a whim of keeping an eye out for a clean red GLHT. I've had thoughts of getting rid of my SL because I never drive it. Makes sense, right? Just get another car. HA!
