    strut mounts

How do you test these? I am gettingn noise in the front end over some bumps. When I am driving (slow speed) and crank the wheel from side to side I can hear and actually feel the noise. I park the car, raise the hood, stand on one side, grab the fender and pull the car back and forth. I can hear a lound slick or snap on the 'other' side. So I go over to the other side, do the same, and the noise is now on the 'other' side. Does this sound like the 15 year old strut mounts have seen better days or should I be looking for something else.

Where is the noise coming from? Bounce your car up and down, if you can see the top of the strut moving up and down when you do, the mount is bad.
