    Ignition timing

How do you guys sent the ignition timing on a 2.0 or 2.4 using a distributor and 2.2/2.5 electronics? Obviously there is no timing window on the trans.

My guess is to put a timing tab on the front of the motor and timing marks on the harmonic balancer.

    Has anybody done this? Pics?

All depends on what trans you are using. If you mate up an old schooler then you will still have the window plus you will need to use the old flywheel so you will have your mark. Otherwise ya, marking the balancer is all you could really do.

I think Rob runs a Distributor setup, SMEC and a Neon auto trans maybe he has some info on how he times his car.

I use my cam gear. I have adjustable cam gears and because I use 2.0 cams,
my intake gear is upside down. I got a pointer going to the degree marks on the cam gear.
