    WTB: T1 wiring harness

Need a wiring harness for a T1 5-speed to convert an '84 Daytona to '85 or '86 wiring.

If Simon's doesn't work out for you. I have one from an 87 Shadow es, with wires added for a TII conversion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but P-bodies don't have the bulk head connector the way the G-bodies do, right? I thought the P-body simply passed through a grommet and then had multiple connectors under the dash. Maybe the '87 is different?

That is correct on a P body,

    Re: WTB: T1 wiring harness

Are you looking for just an engine harness, or the engine and body wiring? You can not simply plug a 40 pin 85 engine harness into a 40 pin 84 dash harness, it will not work. I tell you this from experience. Also, they switched to a 50 pin bulkhead in 86, so that will not work either. If you do need both harnesses, please let us know what options your car has. If I can ever find an 84 Chrysler Wiring Diagrams service manual I will find out whats different about them, but for now I'm still not sure. What I do know is the dash went crazy when I turned the car to the run position, and it would not start.

I don't think it will bolt into an '84. I KNOW it WILL bolt into an '86.

    Re: WTB: T1 wiring harness

It will not bolt on an 84 since it has a 40 pin bulkhead, and the 87 uses a 50 pin bulkhead.

    Re: WTB: T1 wiring harness

    ok so 84-85.....then 86-87 interchange??

i thought 85-87 would be the same, with 84 quite possibly being different....guess it is for sure.
im guessing 85-87 all the shleby chargers had same harnesses

40 pin.....willl a turbo L body one work for him then?!!!

    Re: WTB: T1 wiring harness

I would say no since a G body has quad headlights, and possibly some other changes. Like I said before, and 85 engine harness will plug into the 84 dash harness, but the car will not run or work correctly. When I get my hands on an 84 Dash harness bulkhead pin out I will find out what the differences are and post if it's possible to use the 85 engine harness with moving some pins around. I honestly don't see why it wouldn't work if the wiring could be made to match up.
