Bearings are Timken SET11 and SKF are BRG11.
There likely isn't much of a market for the used stock diff.

Fair enough! Nice find then!

You got that A588 from FWD? Have you opened it up, yet? Pics?
yep
nope
will do when I do
from the little research I've managed on it I believe the 588 is a euro delivery van trans thus the 408 gear and the getrag internals it's claimed to have in it
which by extrapulation would leave me thinking the getrag parts that make up our 555 transmissions might have started out as euro truck duty parts
If I remember correctly (it has been over 5 years since I have bought any of those), the diff shims were the Sonnax kit from transpartsusa (35539-Z5), the Ratech shims were input shaft shims for the manual transmissions.

good catch , ^ thanks !!
Timken SET11 is what I have used many times. As for input shims I found one on McMaster Carr that works well. I think it's a 50mm machine bushing that u can get in different thicknesses. They are a little bigger on the ID but if u set your stock one in first and these stacked after to get the pre-load right then the new ones will never contact the bearing race from being too big. Been using these in many trans
I don't remember where I got them from since it's been a while but I ordered a set for the input from a shim company a few years back that basically with the sizes you get cover every possibility.
Every part numbers you can ever think of.
