87 GLHS with Pumpers@SDAC18

Hi Guys...

Long shot here ...:::I am looking for info on the 87 GLHS@SDAC 18 that had the 16" Pumpers on it... He was parked in the circle @ Walter P Museum with the other 87's.. I am swapping over to 5 bolt and picked up a set of 16" Pumpers from Craig St. P...... last year..the stance on that "S" car is killer..I just need to know what tire size he runs if possible.. Sure looks alot bigger than a 205/55/16.. .. Anyone know of this car and the tire size he runs...? Thanks

If you don't find out this tire size calculator comes in handy when comparing difference tire sizes. You can put in the stock tire size and compare it to any other sizes.

205 45 16 is the closest size but they aren't recommended for a 6" rim.

Looking at the pics, I'm going to venture a guess that the tire is a 205/50/16, which is 24" tall. 1/10" taller than a 205/55/15 and 225/50/15 and 9/10" taller than a 205/50/15. Recommended rim width is 6.5", but a half inch reduction should be no issue. This is the setup I will be putting on my Charger this spring.

205 50 would probably work well. I checked out on Tire Rack that they had Goodyear F1's for $51 each and a $50 rebate!

All the cars registered in our show have the owner's name with the car pic on the SDAC website.

I thought I knew the owner of that car, but the car I was thinking of has the white ninja wheels.
