Thumbs up 1989 Shelby Dakota #894 Beautiful, Virginia, (Pics)

I have for sale a 1989 Shelby Dodge Dakota #894 of 1500 for sale in Smithfield Virginia. This truck is in fantastic condition and is a pervious multiple show winner. It comes with 6 trophies from Mopar shows. It has all the original Shelby parts except for the new NOS decals that were applied 6 months ago and looks great. I have the light bar for the truck in storage and it comes with the truck. The tonneau cover is installed using clamps, so no holes were drilled to install it (comes off easily). The paint is very glossy with very minor imperfections for almost 20 years of age. The interior is in near show condition and the truck drives and rides great. It only has 85,000 original miles and doesn't show any sign of its age. It is driven locally as a pleasure car and has not been abused. If you are looking for a great condition numbered Shelby car that you can depend on or even drive cross country, this truck is for you. It gets around 19 mpg on the highway. I am only selling this truck to start a new Shelby project. I am asking $5000 for the truck and I might be interested in a trade on a nice GLHS Omni or Charger. If you are interested, please feel free to PM me or email me at arhshelby@hotmail.com. Please see the pictures below for details on what the truck looks like.

I saw this truck in person last year, and it is everything Andy says it is. Very nice. I bought my R/T from Andy last year, and you could not ask for a better seller, sent me pics and videos of the car prior to the sale.

Re: 1989 Shelby Dakota #894 Beautiful, Virginia, (Pics)

I owned this truck from 1996 - 2004. I sold it to buy my SRT-4. I bought it with 41k on it. The transmission was rebuilt shortly after I bought the Dakota. Other than that I ran it up to about 75k and had no major problems with it, I think the biggest things I did was an alternator and putting new rotors and calipers on the front.

I am trying to resist the temptation to buy it back .....

Well Scott, You know you get the "Previous Owner Discount" right! Let me know if you're interested and we can decide on a price. Shoot me a PM if you want.

LOL, owner loyalty discount. Let me mull it over. Complicating the matter is I just found out I can get historic tags on it in MD now as it is 20 "model" years old, that makes it more tempting.

And if you're a working man, you should be getting a nice income tax return check within the next month or so.... LOL. But ya, historic tags help on taxes and insurance. Let me know

Scott, if you need room you could always sell me the other Dakota ( at an incredible low price). After all, I'm the convertible guy in the SV gang, and since you showed me last Saturday how nicely the top works, and you are putting all that work into it, and.........

    Daydream over.

After all the work I have into the Dak vert, I think I'll end up being buried in it!

I need another vehicle like a hole in the head ... but then again Alan who owned it before Andy has like 10 cars, so maybe 6 isn't so bad.

Hmmmm, I'll give this some more thought and drop you a PM sometime soon.

LOL, don't get me started on Alan, he would have 100 cars if he had room for them and didn't have to have insurance and registration on them. Him and I seem to just trade cars back and fourth for the most part. I had 5 and just sold one, and now I'm trying to get down to 3, so I need some help, lol. Let me know.

HAHAHA! Yeah I can't deny it. I just need to buy a wharehouse and get it over with. I did meet my goal of having at least one of every numbered Shelby Dodge vehicle made. I just couldn't keep them all. But I will say since Andy has had my old Dak it looks just as good or better than it did after it left Scott's. Kinda hoping Scott buys it back.

I'm trying to convince myself that it would be a good idea to sell my 92 IROC R/T for this truck but i've had the car for 10 years.... Man i would love this truck though... What to do?

That's a nice looking truck! If the lotto ticket in my pocket wins I know where I will spend the first 5k.
