Help with an A555 swap

I have an 85 L-body with an A555 swap. Was wondering what axles i needed to use and also where to drill the cable holes. Any help would be aprreciated. Thanx.

88+ Omni auto trans axles.

ETA: Most drill the holes in front behind the center console some where. I would get under the car and survery the sceen when the trans is in to see were the best place to drill the hole would be.

Set the shifter with the cables attached in the location you want to mount it, the spot where you need to drill for the cables will be obvious. There isn't a whole lot of flex in the cables that far from the shifter, so I'd place the shifter and cables first to make sure you get a good spot. Mine ended up being just a couple inches above where the tunnel kicks up, to the left of the tunnel, clears the 3" exhaust nicely.
