    Code 32?!?!?

Anyone know what this means? I'm guessing it has something to do with my auto 2.5 smec in my manual 2.5 car which started life as a t1 2.2. But I can't find what it means. The car runs fine though. I found you can fix the problem by covering the light with electrical tape...find that in your FSM.

If you don't have an EGR valve I wouldn't worry about it. You're in CA which is the only state to get them from 88(?) on so the computer is probably looking for one. Do you have the EGR solenoid hooked up?

You probably have the purge solenoid disconnected, ignore it.

The purge solenoid shouldn't cause a code 32. Even if it does there has been at least one person I know of who had a computer controlled low boost situation with an LM car because of a faulty connection with the purge solenoid. I know that isn't supposed to happen, but I keep the solenoids all hooked up just in case.

i don't even think the original motor had egr on it. So now I need to find a way to make the computer think it's there so the light goes off when I need to smog it. Any ideas?

Swap out the ECU or socket it and run a custom cal.

ETA: You could also hook up an solenoid to simulate the EGR, or just run a resistor.
