Your car is a Daytona, so YES I would let you come and play.
Talk to Reeves or Pachner and they will tell how much fun they had in 08.

Re: 2009 Lx & Beyond Nationals

This Hotel is a Promoter's Paradise: it has 158 rooms, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, restaurant, lounge and the BIGGEST PARKING LOT I have even seen. Go to www.googlemaps.com and type in this address: 7410 south ave, Boardman, Ohio, 44512. The hotel is located on the corners of South Ave and McKay Ct.

Now slowly enlarge the map to get a closer view. You can park Semi Trucks with trailers attached and make figure 8's in the lot. I hope all of you can and will make your reservations by the end of the month, because if you do we might be able to get all 158 rooms !!!! Can you imagine the *fun* we could have.

So if you know you are coming to the 2009 LX & BEYOND NATIONALS reserve your room NOW ........

    Thanks
    CHuck

    Arrow Challenging all the forums/clubs/regions.

Well, the NORTHEAST dominated the event in 2008 and are already talking about a repeat for 2009.

In 2009, we are challenging everybody else to match their competition level and participation!!!

I'm ashamed to say that the Midwest was outnumbered last time and the 2008 LX NATS was held right in their backyard. Hopefully, the Best Club/Team/Forum Participation Challenge will get a little more competition going.

Don't matter if you are in the carshow or racing on the track JUST BRING IT!

    Exclamation Is it JULY yet?!?!?!

6 MONTHS until the 2009 LX & BEYOND NATIONALS!!!

    If you haven't heard already . . . . . . JULY is the new June.

So instead of saying is it June yet, everybody can start saying
    "IS IT JULY YET?"

    SPONSORS

B-N-D AUTOMOTIVE------We are pleased to announce the first sponsor returning for the 2nd year in a row. Those of you that were lucky enough to win drag racing awards last year and the handful that won his product as door prizes will remember Brian Schubert. B-N-D will be in attendance again at their vendor booth with product and answering your questions.

True2Form------We would like to welcome a new sponsor which was responsible for completing last year's extreme makeover car. They picked up the project and like their motto says, have finished it "the way it was made to be." Pictures coming soon!!!......

    CARSHOW

We are very happy to announce that this year we have teamed up with THE F4 CHALLENGE judging organization which will be the official sanctioning body for this year's carshow. We had a long conversation with the group's founder and one of the many reasons we chose them was because they focus on quality over quantity. Whether your ride is lightly modified or extreme, make sure you bring your "A" game this year. Learn more about them at: The F4 CHALLENGE. More details to follow......

The show field will be on grass this year, so that means no sitting in the sun and baking your asphalt on the concrete. Bring your tent or pop-up, shine up your ride and be prepared to sit back and enjoy some warm Midwest sunshine and a fun-filled weekend with fellow Modern Mopar Muscle enthusiasts. ALL LX and LC attendees that are not racing will be eligible and judged for awards/trophies in the car show this year. (No, this is not a misprint, I said ALL LX and LC attendees that are not racing will be in the carshow). More details to follow......

    HOTEL

HQ Hotel: The Holiday Inn - South Youngstown: All 158 rooms (S/D) until February 28th at the rate of $119.99/per night. Any rooms already booked will be adjusted to reflect the discounted rate. March 1, 2009 - June 15, 2009 the rate will increase to $129.99/per night. Don't wait until the last minute to book these rooms, nearly half of them are already gone.

Secondary Hotel: We have not forgotten about this and working on it. There is still plenty of time, stay tuned......

    T-SHIRT

We are looking for a modified Chrysler 300/300C and Dodge Challenger owner that is planning to attend this year and would like to have their vehicle on the Official 2009 Event Shirt. Send turbobuckeye (Anthony) a PM or e-mail for details.

This year we're going to try something a little different and on the 18th of each month we'll hit you with updates on the event. That way everybody knows when to expect to see more info. If you have questions/concerns not answered you know you should see some feedback by the 18th. Some announcements may be too BIG to wait for the 18th, so we might update sooner. Either way keep an eye on the thread. There is a LOT of work going on behind the scenes!

    Enjoy the Holiday Weekend!!!

Re: 2009 Lx & Beyond Nationals

You know there is a 'Spring LX Nationals' or some such event out here in Cali. Is that affiliated with your group. And to expand on JT's question, any year Charger allowed? IMO Drifting is entertaining to watch and it's part of the CA event. Mainly I ask because I was watching Hot Rod TV episode where Kenny Wayne Shepard had a 71 Charger restored/customised and he debuted it at the Spring Lx Nationals last year. Got me to thinking about checking it out this year...

Re: 2009 Lx & Beyond Nationals

    Hay Alan,

The Spring Fling in CA is not associated with the the LX & BEYOND NATIONALS.
They do their event on an air strip where ours is at a Drag Strip.
We have no place to do any drifting, sorry to say.
But we do have Drag Racing, Car Show, and HUGE Prizes.
Last year we gave away $62,000 in Prizes.
One car was Made Over and they won $22,000 in stuff.

To answer your question as to "can any fwd Charger compete" at this Event,
I would say NO, unless they asked first and showed us photos and ET Times.

    Thanks
    Chuck

If you have a real nice Daytona, Charger, or Omni and you would like to attend the
LX & BEYOND NATIONALS (to Bracket Race of Maybe Heads-Up) please post in this thread.
I have already reinvited James Reeves with his 10 sec Omni and Rob Pachner with his 10 sec
    Charger.

    Thanks

Exclamation Reminder: Keep an eye on post #2,6 for updates

Just wanted to post up a quick reminder for everyone to keep an eye on post #2, 6 for updates on the event. We will post updates within the thread, but if you happen to miss something and don't want to sift thru pages of conversation then that is the best and quickest way to find what you are looking for. Most of the underlined titles or words are links which will take you to additional info as well. Check them out.

Additionally, anybody that starts a caravan thread please let me know so that I can add it to post #2 and help you round up more people for your caravan group. If you don't see a caravan started for the area you will be departing one then start a thread and you'll have a caravan before you know it.

HOTEL ROOMS - The Holiday Inn - South Youngstown: All 158 rooms (S/D) until February 28th at the rate of $119.99/per night. Any rooms already booked will be adjusted to reflect the discounted rate. March 1, 2009 - June 15, 2009 the rate will increase to $129.99/per night. Don't wait until the last minute to book these rooms, nearly half of them are already gone.

The 18th of each month we'll hit you with updates on the event. That way everybody knows when to expect to see more info. If you have questions/concerns not answered you know you should see some feedback by the 18th. Some announcements may be too BIG to wait for the 18th, so we might update sooner. Keep an eye on the thread!!!

Exclamation Announcement: 2 More Sponsors for 2009 LX NATS!!!

We are very happy to announce 2 more returning sponsors from last year that will be contributing some special goodies to be announced closer to event time (Valued at $300.00 and $150.00). Both of these companies are at the top of their game and hands-down there is nobody that can touch either of them on quality of work or attention to detail. I have been fortunate enough to purchase products from both of them and hopefully many of you have too. If you have never heard of them or seen their work yet then you need to check out their websites and some of the threads on these forums.

I can't tell you how thankful we are to have BILLET TECHNOLOGY and JINA'S EMBROIDERY onboard again as supporting sponsors. Maybe you will be lucky enough to win something from them at the 2009 LX & BEYOND NATIONALS!!!

Thank you BT and Jina's for your continued support and the masterpieces that you have created for all of us.

I've been thinking about trying to make one Mopar related event back east this summer

I was looking at SDAC 19 possibly but this event might be pretty cool

I'm interested in running a few exhibition passes or "headsup matches" to try and crank off a 10 second run if possible
