    CSX-T Wiper Motor

It works and everything...but it's noisy!...and not the fastest thing in the world either. It's not so much you can hear it (electrically) but it seems to make a *clunk*at the end of the rotation.

I checked the linkage bushings really quick one day and they appear tight...so do the mount bushings. I keep meaning to remember to snake it outta there and bench test it but always seem to forget...until then...any Shadow guys have this happen before? I have never heard it on my other cars worn bushings or not.

The slow part could be from a poor ground. I just changed out bushings on mine and I also found the ground wasn't making good contact. I cleaned it up and it sped back up. I don't know what the noisy part is unless you've got a bad bushing. The one that links to the drive is hard to see; might be that one.

addaing an extra ground from the motor case to some metal elsewhere could help the speed also

I replaced the wiper motor mounting bushings which were dry rotted and cracked beyond belief as well as replaced all of the linkage bushings...nice and quiet now.

...of course while I was at it I painted up everything really nice and installed a alcohol injection system nice and stealthy

Glad to hear you got that figured out. That was a weird noise for sure.

I did this on my horizon. Originally there is/was a copper strap from the motor to the mount that had corroded and broken. So i ran a heavy guage wire from the motor to the steel mount in the cowl and gained much speed!

I gained roughly 50% wiper speed at 14.3 volts charging system voltage, going from 30 wipes per minute to 45wpm. Granted, I did reduce the overall weight of the wipers by drilling holes in the arms and blade frames.
