total cal newb alert + questions

I've heard it said that it looked like the code to run a lockup torque converter could be added to a turbo cal. Im more curious about that now that ive driven my 89 t1/auto spirit on the highway a good bit. I'd like to build a lockup tranny for it and swap the transfer gears to get the 2.6FD if its relatively simple to work that code in.

Of course ive been vaguely picking up on other stuff that id like thats not necessarily tuning relate like different cooling fan temps and the check engine flash for knock and all that.

Is there something in particular i should read or look at to get me started on all this?

It actually does not exsist in the '89 Turbo code. You could add it pretty easily, though, by copying it from the '90 turbo code. You'd have to re-assign the output and that's about it. It looks like they had planned to add it to the turbo code at some point - the tables were left behind.

I could probably add it to T-SMEC v15 if you wanted.

    Hmm good start thanks!

So i've kinda got the impression that there are some people willing to burn chips for others and maybe mail them?? $$?

I've got an extra 89 smec so socketing should commence sometime this year....
