    2.5 underdrive crank pulley

    im thinking of gettin a underdrive crank pulley for the van from FM, can the stock one be beating off with a mallot or will i need a puller to get it off? what type of HP results could i expect with the UD pulley?

    undo the 5 bolts that hold it on and it comes right off. hp? I'm not sure. I like mine on my 2.5.

    keep in mind at idle speed, your alternator and a/c is not going to work as well.

    well i dont have A\c and really only thing i need to power is my head and tail lites

    Its more like keep in mind to grind down the front main seal cover for clearance.

    previous owner my car did so, but not quite enough.

    I have the FWD Perf underdrive pulley on my 2.5 TBI car. The A/C still blows cold at idle, but the voltage drops significantly.

    As stated above, the front seal carrier needs to be ground down a bit.

    Yeah, I had to run a smaller alt pulley to fix that.

    Running a larger alt won't fix that, they are not designed to charge at a certain rpm and if running a UDP, it can take you to that threshold. Some alts are designed to run at low speed but they are not cheap-as there designed for audio show cars.

    I have an underdrive with no A/C or P/S. No charging issues, but nothing pointing to definativly that I got any gains out of it though.
