    Limp mode irritation

Anything above 7-10 psi car goes into limp mode..aka over boost. Im running a FWD Stage5 ((thought over boost wasnt in there)). Codes I get are
    12
    36
    45
Could it be the 36 causing the issues? I dont even use the wastegate conrtol but wires are plugged in. Map sensors is throwing good voltage when I check it with key on.

How long have you been running the cal?

    Re: Limp mode irritation

The cal is recent...with glhs stage 2 I could boost to 18psi with bleed no issues..
    The map is new.

    Re: Limp mode irritation

Has this been happening the whole time you have had it? If the time allowed from boost table isn't changed it will drop the boost back down or limit it, but it shouldn't cause cutout.

I would fix that WG solenoid, as there was someone on here a few months back that had his purge? solenoid causing limp in mode when it wasn't hooked up although it wasn't believed that it should cause it.

The solenoid might be plugged in, but it might have a short in the wiring somewhere or it could be bad.

    What programer do you have.

As you saw in another post I got the Willem but for the life of I cant get it to do dang all..Ive built pc's, engines, laptops but that programmer must be broken, for sure it soon will be. You think it could be my eprom sst27's

I hooked up my voltage meter to the map sensor signal wire and at 7ps((overboost)) my voltage is 2.21-2.22..

    Re: Limp mode irritation

I have had problems with 27SF512s being real finicky about erasing, and having to erase them 3+ times to be able to burn them. Since they are only about 2 dollars each, I usually just pitch those.

I just use the SF27512s. They work great with a few exceptions. I'm not that great about keeping them in the anti static bag etc., so it could be me and not the chips.
