    87 CSX Brake Options...

    I have always been familiar with brakes for 88+ Shadows and Daytonas and how to upgrade, if even needed, and how to upgrade the older l-bodies. What I haven't found (partly because I haven't looked at my own brakes yet), is what is actually used on the 87 CSX. Answers?

    91 Daytona Shelby - It is getting there

    '87 CSX front is the same as '87 Shadow ES. '87 CSX rear is small non-vented disks, similar to Shelby Lancer, way smaller than the '89 Shelby Daytona rear brakes. The stock CSX brake package works very well when in good working order, but if you really want more, swap '89 Shelby Daytona 11" stuff on

    Aren't they 10.25" vented rotors in front?

    Yep. 10.25 fronts but there is something special about the rears. The Parking brake shoes have Shelby stamped right on them in bright yellow paint

    Porterfield R4S, low dust, no squeal and they don't eat rotors like EBC and some others. If they don't stock the pad you want, they will MAKE it for you if you supply a generic set of pads

    Sweet. That is what I am wondering. I used to have a set of EBC's on my Bronco. The thing could stop. Dust was not bad, but it did eat the rotors!
