    G body exhaust on to a E-class...

Hey guys, I just picked up a 86 caravelle, and am wondering if the exhaust from a 89 daytona shelby would bolt up? Its a custom system that I built, 3inch side exit. I think that it will be to short, but I am not sure.

    anyone know?

    thanks

Hey if you are checking, can you please see what exhaust would be compatible with a K-Car station wagon (86 Town and Country).
    Thanks,

G body exhaust works. I had a G body side exit exhaust on my 86 Reliant wagon and it fit perfect.I'll try to dig up a pic.

I think all the body styles use pretty much the same exhaust system, only difference being the distance between the cat and the first 90° bend. I know I used my H-body exhaust on my G-body just by shortening it a few inches.

Re: G body exhaust on to a E-class...

I had a custom built 2.5" SS exhaust system on my Spirit that started life in a Daytona, and made a brief interim stop in a CSX.

The only (semi) *significant* change made to it over time, was that when it was installed in my Spirit it got a new muffler.

As I recall, the mounting brackets on the Daytona and CSX were identical, but it did require some minor adjustment for the Spirit.
