    More efficient power?

Right now Ive got shelby charger with a stock 89 2.5L including mitsu turbo running 12 PSI. Im pretty much bored after driving it for the past two weeks. The car is fun to drive but really lacks any sort of topend. Plus I think the mitsu is probably pretty inneficient blowing 12 PSI through a stock glhs IC/Radiator. What should I do to get more efficieny out of the engine?

My plans are to upgrade to:
    -stock garrett turbocharger
    -2 piece intake manifold
    -ported exhaust manifold
    -Big FMIC

If I upgraded to these things would I create alot more power at the same boost? Or would it basically be wasting my money?

    Thanks

Why would you be wasting your money, that combo with a MP Stage 2 cal or equivalent, slicks should get you into the 12's.

Idk, Im just afraid that Ill spend the money and the car wont be much faster. I cant really use a staged cal because the engine is a 2.5, but if I upgraded to a 3 bar, how much boost do you think it would take to crack the 13's?

Probably 15 or so psi or less.

On a 2.5, would it be worth saving up for the super 60 with a .63 exhuast housing rather than going with the stock garrett?

    Re: More efficient power?

    Honestly,
My goals are to have a high-mid 13 second daily driver on 93 pump gas and street tires. I just want a car that is fun to drive and reliable. Im not really into boosting the crap out of the engine either, so Id really like to make it on 16 PSI or less.

If this isnt attainable without spending huge amounts of cash please tell me lol.

You already have that with the stock garrett. If you want more oomph and want a bolt on, the S60 .63 is the way to go. It seems you get bored easily so get the S60, you'll never look back.

    Re: More efficient power?

If you have a 2.5 and want upper rpm you're gonna want the .63 housing. It'll help with traction off the line a bit and give you some breathing up top. 13's in a Shelby Charger could be easily had on 10psi.
