    525 shift linkage question

I'm just finishing my heim joint conversion on my omni. While installing it I notice the first pivot post on the tranny is very loose. The bushings are in very good shape, its the post attached to the tranny is loose. I was looking for some way to tighten it up but cant figure it out. Can it be tightend or do I need to cut it off and replace it? With it so loose it defeats what I just did by replacing all the joints. Thanks.

I had the same problem, take the mount off and weld the pin from the bottom side.
