so i have a mitsu turbo from the van sitting around and am going to slap it on my sand rail in a draw through setup. i need to know if the turbo has a positive seal to withstand the vacuum of running it in the draw through setup .

compressor housing?? all turbos are sealed or else the pressure would leak out....
I think he's talking about the difference between a carbon seal and a dynamic seal on the compressor side. One will work in a draw through setup, the other won't (leaks oil I guess).
@ the OP:
Check online for rebuild kits for the mitsu. That should tell you which type of compressor side seal it has.
Phone TU or FWD, I am sure they know.
