    Re: Later style/size alternator bushings

Ok, guess I should have been more clear

I only need the steel sleeves/spacers as my original bushings fell out and were lost awhile back (long story). the replacement bushings came from mopar (newark depot, next day delivery) but they didnt include the spacers. my temporary fix isnt going to last much longer, and since scrap prices have been where they are. there are NO 4cyl cars at the yard which I can get replacement spacers from.

the poly's dont come with new spacers last I checked ????

polybushings only includes new spacers with the earlier style bushings. later ones you must reuse the originals

    These are polyurethane alternator bushings
for 4-cylinder Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
    Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth cars.
Fits with or withour air conditioning.
    What years? Not sure.
On cars older than 1983, not sure if these fit.
I do know they fit at least 1984 to mid 1990.
In mid 1990 they changed to a different size.
    (see below)
This "early" one is about 1-11/32 OD.
    $12 Set
plus shipping (about $5 priority mail)

These come in hard or soft. Soft is just
slightly firmer than a new rubber bushing.
    Hard is pretty much non-flexible.
This "late" one is about 1-13/64 OD.
Please let me know which ones you want.
You will resue the factory inner steel sleeves on these.

Funny how you can read the link I posted, but not the post right after mine.

Yes, I read alternator bushings but not the late part.

The bushings DON'T come with sleeves but you say they do?

If you want me to quote the other thread, I can as well?

I also forgot, Whorse ordered bushings and tada, no sleeves.

You qouted post did nothing more than just repeating that.

I already said I made the mistake of reading just the alterantor bushings but not reading the late part in the orignal WTB post.

You local hardware store should have something that works if they are well stocked.

yes I did that to take up the slop around the bolt. But would not prevent the alternator from sliding side to side. for now I've got a couple headbolt washers stacked on either side to shim it into place.

WickedShelby88 is getting me a set. thank you to those who offered the other suggestions.
