Oh, if you were still at 10.9 AFR than you still shouldn't need the meth with that cal.

I have not idea why you are running so rich...???

Does your phone service allow you to call the states? I'd like to talk VIA phone cuz this is weird. Let me know and I'll PM you my phone number

How is it you turned off the meth and still getting around the same AFR's???

Tried latest cal, with meth and ~12psi.

AFRs remain ~11.0 @ 4000RPM and ~10.0 @ 5500RPM (Thats my rev range shifting at 5500 so thats the numbers I'm focusing on).

No audible knock but I'm consistently getting my scanner to say yes in 3rd and 4th passed 4000RPM.

I can phone you, gonna be one bad phone bill but I'll do it.

PM that to me, add me on msn too anyway?

No if you are gonna get a nasty phone bill don't worry about it.

So 11.0 with the meth at 4000? OK thats better.

I even backed off the timing and it's giving the exact same conditions of knock? I'm very skeptical that this is detonation knock.

Give me a few minutes and I'll change the fueling again.

OK, changed the pumping effiency table to try even out the fuel to keep it the same in all RPM's.
Also took more fuel out overall. Hopefully this will give you like 11.5:1 across the board. Thats pretty much where you want to be.

I'm getting sceptical on the knock too, especially at such a stupid low boost. I will try your cal asap.

Oh, my home computer crashed so I'm on my laptop. No MSN right now.

Luckily I had Dcal already installed on my laptop, and I downloaded the cal off here LOL.

mike, you should be able to see what each cyl is pulling for timing. how many values can you display with the 2000? 2? 1?

do a pull looking at each cyl knock retard. it shouldnt be alot. maybe 3 deg max now.

the 2.5L with the G-head really is a pain in the --- to tune. its either knock or high egt's.

We took it to PMs and chatted a bit more, its too late to work with these cals (as much as I'd like a fine tuned cal) I will be switching to the FWD Stage 5 and playing a bit tonight, I also have to look at some other stuff tonight and pack and prep for tomorrow morning... leaving for the track at 9:30am... two hour drive... its already dark out and I'll be working outside with a trouble light for at least an hour and a half I think...

    ... wish me luck boys!

You'll be saddened to know its not. I don't know what was up but it was showing knock at 11psi with meth and the cals I've been trying out here - which was just dumb. I reinstalled my FWD stage 5 cal and the knock sensor appears to be dead again... GRRRRRRRR.

Could hear a slight rattle to it once the boost is up past ~19psi.

I will be looking to get race gas for tomorrow... blah, one way or another it'll run a 12... I hope.

Re: Lancer Shelbys re-maiden voyage at the 1/4

On the bright side, its working again, lol. I went out again to fill up my tires and get ready for tomorrow, decided to wiggle the connector and try again - it is now working again. Then found out my meth wasn't spraying - found a broken wire at the connector for my controller (I'm blaming this on me earlier today, when I must have wiggled the connector testing my meth earlier) - it is now working again and decided to creep my boost back up... I get a very slight bit of knock showing on the scanner... and I'm back at 22psi.

I will still add some assistance to my gas tank tomorrow but... damn I love wheel spin in 3rd and torque steer through 4th gear... tomorrow is gonna be FUN!

you probably should see about replacing the connector with one that isnt rusty/flaky/whatever. the stud on the sensor is threaded. you could carefully use a ring terminal (one of those real nice ones that has the heatshrink insulators with the heat activated insulation inside) and two nuts and some grease so that it doesnt corrode.

    12.963 @ 105.69MPH, 1.979 60 ft.

That was my first run, and I don't even want to get into the rest. Bad launches, bad bogs, super busy and huge lineups, bad control of the lineups (missed out on several run because of it), broken axle. I drove it all the way home this time without needing a tow truck, that's a bonus.

I did get a 13.0 as well, which I know there is a video... I will link it when I get it. I don't believe there is a vid of the 12.

That would been at 21psi... bumped it slightly but wouldn't have ever gotten higher than 22psi, think my grainger is maxed out.

I'm really happy it got a 12, but I ran it at less mph than two weeks ago, and I know it can cut better 60s... I just wanted more out of it, but alas, just one barely in the 12 run. Oh well
