    oil problems

    ok i have a mitsu turbo and im running a short kn filter off of it,with my crank

    case vent tube ran in to the end of it today i got on it real hard and oil was

    coming out of the filter and the dip stick keeps coming out of its tube when i

    get in boost does nay one know whats up?

    should i put the air box back on?

    you are probably building crankcase pressure and thats why it is doing that, if the rings are not sealing 100%, the motor has miles on it, then it may keep doing it untill you get a good PCV system setup. for now i would put the stock box back on and see if doesn't do it. i had some issues with smoking untill i got a setup that worked well.

    DO you have the stock PCV and elbow setup still?

    The way to do it is have the stock elbow, then instead of going to the air box, you can extend it and use a filter, I used to do that or use a catch can. If this is what you have, then your engine is tired and a catch can is what you need.

    sorry to hear that, my engine was pretty fresh so i really thought i was dealing with a different problem. i was blowing smoke out the exhaust after a hard run at higher boost, didn't happen at lower boost. i was just using a filter on the v.cover. i used the exhaust evac. style in my downpipe and haven't had any problems since. do like Simon said or try the exhaust style i used when you get the motor back together.
