    2.2 common block crankshaft

Like the title says. I am switching the 2.5 in the garage into a 2.2 for my Omni. Thanks.

How much abuse can the cast take and how much? My car is mostly stock anyhow. Just a FWD Perf 15psi LM. I suppose it can't be any worse than a TI crank, which I am currently beating up on. Let me know and I will get back to you. Thanks.

Simon runs a cast crank, if he can't break one, you never will.

    I'm running cast too.

    Re: 2.2 common block crankshaft

if you go 2.2 common block turbo, the crank is forged only, non-turbo is cast, and 2.5 turbo is cast. There is a difference in common block 2.2 turbo and 2.5 turbo cranks. Read about it on donovans garage

    Re: 2.2 common block crankshaft

Thanks. That is one reason i'm going 2.2CB. I'm already setup with 2.2 stage 3 comp and 86 engine. Just waiting on Simon to get me a price and go from there.
