The L-body does have a specific k-frame, however, people have cut out portions of the center of Daytona/Lebaron k-frames to make them work. This is done to utilize the dual pivot control arm feature found on the '89 and up k-frame's.

Yes, It can certainly be done. It does change the geometry a little bit and IIRC moves the wheel back slightly.

You also have to change the right front mounting point to get it in an L body.
