Iv'e got a fun and unique little Daytona, I came across it wanting a white Shelby Daytona. Found out it was one of 540 VNT cars of 1990. the previous owner had no idea, just knew it was a "turbo". Going through some of the Data codes, and info it seems to be an early build of May 29 1989, It is a Red Leather interior car and also has a few uniques codes, and one mystery code tag that has yet to be determined. 4BAA - Company Car Tracking , 4BC Marketing / Public Relations Vehicle , 4HA Special Scheduling Conditions. Then there is a whole separate Data Tag with the words "code 8" right in the middle and that's it. The best that can be determined from a few contacts / friends at Chrysler. This was a promotional car either for press , Auto Show exhibits, or other marketing use. Currenly I am driving it and having fun.

All the 90 vnt test cars were built in the first part of May 1989.
I am willing to bet that the last six of your vin number is super low.
I have a 90 VNT Shadow in storage that has a vin of LN100014, with codes 1ASS 4BAA 4AT DDV 3LNA PR1 ANA 115S EDR MCRS , and a build date of May 10 1989. After contacting Chrysler, they said it was a internal company test car.

Just picked up a 1984 DC Rampage a couple weeks ago.
These are very rare with production totals around 218,and very unique chrysler option codes.

Wow, those are some great rare updates. Thanks guys.
yeah, I had those Prototype pics floating around on my camera and finally got around to uploading them. Sorry for the delay.
Do own the blue car,or is it a friends car?
Any stories to tell about the blue car,and any engine bay pictures?
"was" a friends car. From my knowledge it was driven like 43miles or something since he's owned it (was purchased back when Shelby left Dodge). It is the 90 prototype. Unfortunatly I dont really have any more photos since the car was usually covered and in storage. It was sitting in my back yard for several years and I never really got around to snapping photos of everything. It has the original Gatorback tires on it and the front bumper suffered some damage when it was moved from california to the east cost.
Did the blue car have the 16 valve motor like my Prototype?
I have 1987 #X11 Shelby CSX from the Shelby Garage Sale, with the 16 valve motor.
Was wondering if our engine bays looked the same, being thier both prototypes?
Tim must still own the car, maybe he will email me a picture?
If you think about it,feel free to give him my email..... SHLBYCSX@yahoo.com
