would my Rampage fall under unique and or rare?
would my Rampage fall under unique and or rare?
Barry, that is the Daytona I was reffering to! I knew it placed at Carlise, but I don't remember exactly what place when I saw it. Hell, I can't even remember the year now!!
I believe Jay Leno owns two '87 GLHS Chargers, not sure of the numbers.
The 89 "Lutz" Daytona that's on Gary's site. Factory 225HP 8v!

How about an ex-magazine project car like Bill Brobst's Daytona Shelby?
Kevin Isenberg EVERYTHING is for sale!
+1
Bills car is quite unique. He has a pile of factory documentation for the car as well...including a letter from Chrysler stating it should have not been built with the Shelby decals!
If you have a copy of the magazine article, those are the actual wheels they installed on the car!
Here it is at our last FLSDAC meet:
^^Somwhere around I have an old Mopar magazine with that car in it in one of the first stages of its build!! That car definatly has a story to tell!!!
What about the "Ultimate" Daytona? This was the red engineering mule originally saved from the crusher that was an export model that had the Turbo III drivetrain and the VVT Cam Phasers on it with higher boost that was reportedly dynoed at over 425hp but was mentioned in the magazine (High Po Mopar or Mopar Action) that they felt it would be reliable and warranty safe at around 350hp. Anyone know if this car was saved or if it got scrapped?
Oh and thank you Tim for considering my Spirit nice and significant enough to be on the list. Now if only I had your talent in restoring and detailing it!

I have posted these pics on this site before I think.
anyone ever seen another one with the 24k Limited Package? Dealer added?
It had emblems as well as the stripe.
Thought it was cool nonetheless.
What is the 24K package?
Has no one mentioned Warren Stramer's Laser? That is hands down the nicest drag turbo mopar I've ever seen. The workmanship and attention to detail are amazing.

I'm wondering if it was a spin off/similar marketing strategy as the "Gold Prospector" Rampage... Also an 82-83 option.

What about the Todd Nelson built Masi 86 GLHS #120? It was Alan Quackenbush's old car, now owned by Lee Saunders in Florida. That car is definately unique. It looks totally stock from the outside, gets 38mpg, runs mid 11's on street tires, and can be driven anywhere in the country. It was driven 600 miles to SDAC-14, raced in the final of the quick 8, and drove another 400 miles home.
Todd Nelson's 85 GLHT. Santa Fe blue GLHT that is MINT with super low miles, like 32k original. Has lots of old school nostalgic parts on it. Super rare Spearco intercooler kit, on a log TI car, and it runs 12's on street tires, and has since the late 80's!! This car was at SDAC-8 in Indy.
Tim's CSX-T race car, which is one of only a few made, should definately be on the list...
Rick Diogo's Masi powered GLHS Charger is super fast also, and a very nice car...
My low mile 86 GLHS didn't make the list.....
Dont forget the sweet Fittipaldi wheels Todd has on his GLH-T.
