    Manual rack?

Is there any cars that came with a manual rack that fit a Shadow direct bolt on? I don't think any shadow's came with no power steering, but not sure. I got the engine out of my 88 shadow, has a bad power steering leak so just thinking of stuffing a manual rack in anyway.

    Re: Manual rack?

Hmm looks like advance auto has a manual rack for a shadow for $160. But I'd like to get one out of a junkyard because it will be like $20-30 bucks.

Anybody know where I could possibly get a new or used one cheap somewhere?

But what I'm asking is are there any other body styles that are the same as the P body that were more popular to have manual racks?

    Re: Manual rack?

$160 is cheap for a manual rack, out here, around $300. As for other cars, all cars except L body are the same.

    Re: Manual rack?

Well yeah thats the best price I've found so far. Napa was $230, and autozone was somewhere around there too. Plus core charge which was only like $20 for some reason.

I've heard there is issues with the coupler though? Is this true? Is this not a direct bolt on?

I was just gonna post that. On an L-Body there is a different coupler, so I'd think the other models would be similar.
