    how many pulses per rev does our tach needs to display the right RPM?

    camshaft hall effect sensor with one window per revolution would mean 0.5 pulses per crankshaft revolution. If I am wrong, someone will correct me...

    .5 would be my guess...there are 4 windows on the distributor, and the distributor turns half the crankshaft speed, so .5.
