    Turbo Calculator (Newly Released!)

In my opinion, this is the best turbo calculator that can be had on the internet, whether free or bought. I hope you enjoy and if you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me. I hope to have the FAQ section on this page done soon.

    http://www.squirrelpf.com/turbocalc/index.php

All configurations are savable and all images are hot linkable. There are around 86 compressor maps available with any configuration of engine parameters.

As a hotlinking example, I hope that my Daytona will produce the following results when I put that turbo on along with a PT1000 intercooler.

I was just trying to enter my own numbers and now when I open the window I automatically get a windows error and have to close the window.
Might just be a problem with my computer, to much work going on right now to restart though

Thanks Brian! The hardest part was populating the database with all the pixel information on how to make php draw the information overtop of each individual graph.

Excellent work Frank! Very nice GUI on that, I'm lovin the tranny/gear ratio feature. If I get my car out on the salt that should come in very handy!

Awesome. Great work. Helps me see exactly where I want/need to shift aswell as a great graph of exactly where I am with the turbo I'm using.

Honestly, I really dont know! I know the garretts mainly because there is alot of data with similar size motors, dyno plots, etc.

How can we figure out our VE based on a stock setup, and modifications to the IC, plumbing, intake, TB size, head, etc...?

    Re: Turbo Calculator (Newly Released!)

You can't, but guessing is always better then assuming 90%. What you can do is always look at the pumping efficiency table in your calibration. OR just use what is already built into the calculator. THe biggest player is the BSFC number.

    Re: Turbo Calculator (Newly Released!)

Ok frank here's one for ya since I'm not putting in something right.

16v Masi head, Ported, 1mm oversize vavles. Large plenum on the intake runners. Big Water/Air spearco, Ported exhaust manifold with T3 flange on it and external gate. See Alan's pics for the exhaust manny

JE pistons with either stock T2 rods and crank or some Hbeam rods on the same crank. I'd like to turn close to 8k rpms.

My preliminary thoughts is the GT35R with Precisions new ported housing and a .82 A/R for the exhaust. 4" exhaust for about 3-4ft as well and the wastegate will have it's own pipe. If you could plug in some #'s to your calculator and post them here or in a PM I'd appreciate it.

    Re: Turbo Calculator (Newly Released!)

Man that's some fat coolness, but how do you determine some of that information to get calculations? Like volume efficiencies, the bsfc and max i/c loss.

    Re: Turbo Calculator (Newly Released!)

Well VE can be directly grabbed from your calibration, whether stock or modified. This is located in your pumping efficiency table. It is rather handy. I can usually calculate a close VE, which is better then assuming 100%, by looking at HP, bore/stroke, and head flow curves. You don't have to be exact.

As for BSFC, there is a link which can help you determine your value. That 0.43 is a 420whp 2.5L at 30psi of boost... so ya... very efficient combustion. I do need to add more information to it, but you get the drift. I would consider a TI dodge to be around 0.55 and a TII dodge to be around a 0.52. Close is good. As for intercooler drop, well its not big, but between 1 and 3 depending on what you have.
