The one on my van is a 4-wire; were there facotry 4-wire O2 sensors? Does this mean it's a wideband?

Yup. it's got a signal ground, power ground, signal wire, and a power wire. The power wires just run the heater in the sensor, this allows the sensor to heat up faster and equals cleaner emmissions sooner.
