    A/C blows hot

Took my IROC out today for a spin. Car sat in my garage for almost two weeks. The rear interior lamp was out and when I went to replace the bulb, I blew the fuse. Weird thing was, besides the interior lights, I lost the radio, tach, power "lock"(unlock worked) and the a/c was blowing hot. The a/c had worked GREAT last time I ran it (on my way home from Carlisle).

So I replaced the fuse and got my radio, tach and lock feature back along with the interior lights. But the a/c still blows hot. Compressor runs. Should one of the lines be cold? If so it wasn't getting cold. One line was HOT and the other was warm.

    Any ideas?

Hook up a manifold gauge set and see what you low side has for pressure left in it.

I don't have a set of gauges so it will have to wait.

However, today it was blowing cooler than Monday. There is a definite difference in air temp when I turn the a/c switch on and off it's just not as cold as it used to be.

I must've developed a leak somewhere unless there is something electrical that could affect the air temp...

nothing really electrical to go wrong as a/c systems are pressure based. Sounds like you're low on refridgerant.

That doesn't really help me right now Alan. It's August and we've got a heatwave here for the next week or so...

Off to my local shop I guess...
