they are the same, only difference with a tiii car is that it has a deflector plate that goes between the pump housing and the block. make sure you put it back in

Yeah, it's the same as any '90+ common block water pump. The '89s won't work because they have the old style hub.

You may be right (probably) better safe than sorry with the '91+.
The part I really need is the diverter. Mine still works but when I was taking off the bottom bracket the Casting broke. I guess I'll make it work.
