    Question Rear Brakes

Are 89 Daytona Shelby rear disc brakes the same as those used on the 89 CSX?

No, an 89 Daytona Shelby uses the vented 11 inch rotors, where an 89 CSX uses the solid disk 10 inch rotors, much like an 89 Daytona ES.

Thanks man. I knew they used 89 Daytona brakes but wasnt' sure from which model. Were the 10" rears used on the Daytona C/S's that year as well by chance considering the rack and pinion setup used for the wide tire optioned cars came from that model?

The 10 inch solid rotors were used on AGB C/S Daytona, but the AGS C/S Daytona got the vented rear 11 inch rotors just like the Shelby Daytona.
