Nothing wrong with an 8V Masi, Steel crank, intercooled, Garrett turbo... What's the plan for it, fix it? Part it? Color combo? Year?

yep its one of those, an 89 black cherry with the tan interior.

Car runs and drives fine and has no rust on it but the car does need a windshield.

For the price i'm picking it up for, i'm looking to make this thing the fastest 8valve tc. The car will be at the strip next friday for some baseline #'s

Now buy some parts so i can make that happen

OK Jason, I hope you do join the club so to speak A little lingo though, the exterrior color you are talking about is 'Royal Cabernet' the interior, is 'Ginger' The windshiled is the ONLY piece of bodywork that actually fits from a LeBaron. It's not the same piece, but the LeBaron windswhield will fit fine. Fastest 8v TC Bring a Grainger valve and maybe throw an AFPR at it, exhaust is a MUST on TC's moreso than any other TD's (except maybe 89 VNT) because of the extra restriction from the baffles. Hopefully it's a common block motor, build date before June 89 will be NCB.

The only difference in the windshields is the fact that TC's have the Masi logo embedded into them (small stamping on the bottom middle of the windshield) right? Or did I hear this wrong some time ago? lol (Sorry to hi-jack btw)

I knew the exterior was royal Cxxxx just didn't know how to spell it and didn't want to look silly, as for the interior tan=ginger its all the same. Car is a common block.

probably will have a nice fmic, 3" exhaust, 523 trans, socketed smec, +40's, 3 bar, afpr, 255 pump, and alcohol injection very shortly.

I've got everything sitting here except the masi and a good clutch.

i have a spare windshield here in NJ. i hope you luck out with a commonblock and not a non common, depends on if it was an early or late 89 car. i have a 89 16V royal cabernet and ginger with black fabric top. 60K miles

How much mula for the 8V in your town? What color and condition is it in? Both tops? I am on the look out for a cheap ratty one to mod.

I am also on the look out for a 63 or 64 Valiant convertible - slant six auto with a bench seat, amongst other cars. And I don't want to travel too far and I don't want to pay too much and I don't want to have to rebuild the body. I don't want too much, do I? LOL As a matter of fact, if the owneer drove it here and wanted to trade it in on something I have in stock, plus fell out of the car, hit his head on the curb, and then his wallet fellout of his pocket spilling $100.00 bills, that would be almost perfect.

the emblem is the minor difference, the biggest difference is the 'edge shading' on the TC piece to protect all that *Ricardo Montalban voice here* "Fine Corinthian Leather" from the hot sun

Yeah, let me know if there is such a thing as a good DAILY DRIVEABLE clutch for a 523 that can move the 2'nd heaviest FWD TM without slipping

Check out the 'upgrading the TC intercooler' thread here for some FMIC ideas. There is a perfect 12"X24" opening in the front spoiler for a nice fat IC
