    Creaking and cracking when steering

Hey guys...well..have a question. After finally getting the shelby running, i put everything back together...now i am getting noices when i back out of the drive way..its like a rubbing...clunking...its basicly like when you steer and you get that...crap...i don't know how to explain it...it only happens when i turn the car...well most of the time..sometimes it doesn't do it...
I had the sway bar off, along with the axles...so i put them all back on

Would bad bushing on the sway bar make this kind of noise?

Just curious if anyone know what it could be...
What kind of a noise would a rack make going bad? Thanks!

    Any ideas are welcome!!

    Tom

did u roll the car with the axles out, if so then the bearings is gone, or the balljoins may be going, or the upper bearing plate, or the c.v. shaft.

We have the same problem in our Acclaim. Replaced EVERYTHING up front except outer tie-rod ends and sway bar bushings... cracking is still there. I think it's the sway bar bushings.

im gonna guess sway bar rubbing on the control arm. If its only when youre steering could be a lot of things. When the cars sitting, bounce the front up and down and have someone watch the swaybar.
