rtv sealant and tune-up advice needed...

hey guys would it be possible to use just rtv for my water pump and valve cover gaskets? (or whats supposed to be those). What kind do i use regardless? i have to replace a head gasket on my minivan, and i'm doing a general tune up (water pump, hoses, timing and other belts, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, oil change, etc). anything else i need to take care of while i'm messing with this stuff?

    I sell a 89+ gasket and seal set for $20 + shipping.

It'll have the water pump gaskets, valve cover gasket, ...etc...

Along with the previously mentioned gasket kit, I would also get a tube of grey RTV. Works great.

Get new headbolts. You can use RTV on the waterpump but why, it will come with new o-rings and a gasket. Use some thread sealer on the lower longer waterpump housing bolt.
Have the head checked and planed, replace the exhaust manifold studs and use sealer on them also.
Use the proper rubber valve cover gasket.
You'll probably have to get a new PCV elbow, the dealer carries them and use an MP gasket ending in 005, also from the dealer.
Replace the cam, crank and intermediate shaft seals, use anerobic sealer on the outside surface to help them slide in.
Replace the thermostat and drill a 1/16 hole in it to aid in bleeding. Get some quality wires, IE Aurora's,
Replace the oil and coolant lines with braided units from our vendors.
Replace the turbo drain hose with silicone hose, 5/8. DO NOT use regular heater hose, it will collapse.
