if you can fix my laptop for me?
software issue
I traded some parts for a hp omnibook 4700 (huhu he said omni)
it had windows 98 with a lot of junk on it
I loaded up in dos
then formated the hard drive c:/format c:/
everything completed with no problems I put my windows xp from my dell pc
(I know I know copyright b.s. whatever I paid for it)
nothing happened, so I tried an old windows 95 disc I had here and still nothing
turned off the laptop and re-booted it with the disc in and all it still says in to put in a valid system disc and hit enter to retry ?
when the computer is booting I tried pressing f2
it goes to the system operating screen but comes up with a password ?
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated
