He used the dyno from another shop, sounds like he has his own now.
Yes, he has his own shop in Linden NJ.
It is a Mustang Dyno. He said comparing it to a couple of other Mustang Dynos his was reading about 4% lower than the others. Some thing about low-inertia rollers. I forget how he explained it to me. Anyone in the NJ area should check him out. $69 for the HP pulls and if you want to do your own tuning it's $120/hr. He's also willing to accomodate car clubs and host "dyno days". He's got a VW club with 30 cars coming in this Sunday.
Anywhooo, I'm back and these are my numbers:
1st run: 211hp @ 6psi.
Looking things over he found that the BOV had been installed incorrectly. So he took it out, switched the hoses and ran again.
2nd run: 233hp @ 12.5psi.
Obviously the BOV was leaking boost previously. Kelly you were close again with your guess of 230hp. He cranked on the G-valve and ran again.
3rd run: 243hp/247ft-lbs @ 15.6psi.
He thought the A/F was a tad lean at the upper rev limit so he adjusted the pressure and ran again. It took a couple of runs to get the A/F where he wanted it. He ended up settling at around 12.5 in the 6200rpm range and in the mid-range, between 3700-5300rpm, it was reading around 11.8.
I'm happy with it. I thought the car had pull before but I really felt the difference 8.5psi makes on the way home.
I told him once I get the FMIC installed I'll swing by again for another run to see what kind of a difference it makes...

Is this all with the stock turbo? I didn't recall seeing one in the list of mods...

So Mike isn't in the building with the motorcycle shop anymore? Last I talked to him, he was trying to get his own place but wasn't sure about it.
You coming up to Englishtown this weekend?
Congrats Moe, Nice Runs! That extra boost does make a difference. It sounds like your car is running great now. See you at Carlisle!

You can predict weather that is 2 months away? I thought only Mark was certified at that?
You replied after Ralph and it looks to be only 20% rain on Sat.
Carlisle is rain or shine, correct?
I hope so cause right now that seems to be the only chance I'll get to see you guys this summer. Unless they have other Mopar days at Englishtown...

It's amazing that putting down those modest numbers these cars were able to hang with the performance crowd back when they were made...
Peak HP numbers aren't everything my friend.
