    Question steel plugs

    what tool do i need to use to take them out of the t3 head? also what type of coating should i apply to the new alum plugs that i got from cindy? (factory head,not dunn)

    Allen key, the TIII guru's say to use RTV and basically screw them in just past finger tight.

    For the factory cast head you need a 12mm hex socket(1/2"drive) and some heat and PB. Then you want to chase the threads with an M26x1.5 tap and install the new ones with high-temp silicone and about 10FT/LBs like what Simon says the "Gurus say"

    so buy heat, can i just start the car and bring it up to temp then release the pressure at the radiator?

    the plugs that are in it use a allen wrench to remove. should a 17mm fit or is that too small? im at work so i cant check myself..thanks

    Allen key is a hex head, 12mm.
