1986 GLHS Power Loss Code help Needed
Hi
I just picked up an '86 GLHS. Runs great but Power Loss light is on.
Checked codes and found 15, 23 and 55. I think 55 just means the end of the code sequence.
The previous owner said he thought there may be a "charge temp sensor" issue but I'm not sure what this is or where located / how to replace or where I could get parts.
Any help as to what the other codes mean and how to fix would be appreciated.

Re: 1986 GLHS Power Loss Code help Needed
The charge temp sensor is on the intake manifold. The sensor itself may be broke. The plug may also be broke. I had to replace the plug to that sensor on my '86 Daytona. I just got a newer one from the junk yard that was in much better condition.
Of course, check the voltage on the pins to make sure it isn't an upstream problem. Unfortunately, I don't know right off hand which wires are which to tell you what exactly to look for. Generally, as long as I have anything for voltage I don't worry about upstream issues.

The charge temp sensor is on the intake manifold. For more information on the codes you can always reference www.minimopar.net I have found it to be the place to go when pulling codes.
