Any tips to install the knock sensor? What's torque spec?

    Thanks.

I just use a pair of channel locks and common sense to install them. I am interested to hear what the actual torque is though.

Some of the aftermarket sensors are said to be too sensitive. If it starts pulling timing with no other changes, wrap a little Teflon tape on the threads.

Well in the FSM for the newer models(2.0/2.4) it states 22NM or 195 in/lbs for a torque spec. I thought I've read 200in/lbs before in a couple places, but I believe they would be all the same even for the older SOHC motors.

Also the FSM states in bold what many already know
Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control

Dang! I'll have to check this. I just got it "feel good" tight.
