    windshield

It had to happen. When I bought my 88 Daytona Shelby Z I didn't see the minute crack where the previous owner had had trouble replacing the hood and it had fallen on the windshield. Finally the crack spread across the windshield and I need to replace it. I bought a used one but I did not know enough to check and see if it had been removed properly, without little nicks from the wire. When cleaning the sealant off I was doing fine until the last 8 inches when there was a crack and my replacement split from top to bottom. O joy!!!!!
The only one available here is in a 91 and the yard says it is different, anyone know?

'91 may be different at the cowl cuz of the newer dash???

Have you priced out new windshields? I have had a few replaced and they were not too pricy, maybe ~$200 including removal of old and installation of new (not used), and if they crack the new one putting it in, they get you another.

I am told that the T-top has a different windshield so I think I have to go with the glass shop. Maybe they will just install the glass and leave me with the finishing.

    Re: windshield

T-Top windshields are the same. All the Daytonas left the factory as hardtops, and an aftermarket shop(Creative Concepts?) converted them into the T-Top cars. So the windshields should be the same, they just cut the roof and doors and added all the other mouldings.

Costed me $159 and couple hours of waiting time for my windshield to be replace on my 89 Daytona Shelby with T-tops...
