    Found 600ES turbo convertible

There has been this car sitting across the road from the machine shop that I use for the past few months. It could probably be had pretty cheap. I'm not sure if it is rare or desirable to anyone, so I figured I would post it up for anyone interested.

The things that caught my attention was that it had a functional hood scoop. Not sure if they all had this or not.

It had a little surface rust in front of the rear tires, but the floors and the rest of the underside looked great.

    It was an automatic, though.

I've got more pics if anyone wants them.

Those hood vents were on all the earlier turbo cars in one form or another. They helped let the heat generated by the turbo out.

nah, they're functional, they just have a big drip tray under them.
looks to be an '85 or older, the '86 had a crosshair grille.
it looks like it'd make a neat project for someone

my wife drives an '86 600 T1 auto and she loves it! i puit in a stage2 from Cindy and it really helped with the drivability, not to mention 14psi of boost. i think they are really cool cars and are real sleepers, a few ricers around here have found that out. i say if it can be had cheap buy it or hopefully someone can and save it from the crusher.

there's a guy here in town that an '86 for sale for $400. It's not a turbo though, it's a talldeck 2.5 tbi.
I'm thinking of buying it for my daughter to drive, it'd go well with my '86 lebaron 'vert

My '84 Lebaron has a verticle-bar grill. Don't the Dodge 600's have different grilles?

i think in '86 the 600 got a crosshair grille, the other years had the horizontal bar grille like this one.
I'll have to find a picture of the '86.
my '86 lebaron has the verticle bar grille like yours

I had a chance to pick up a set of those type wheels in the pic recently but the yard wanted to charge for the bald/shredded tires so I passed. What are they called??

The vert pictured is 85 or earlier, I have an 85 and an 86. The 86 Grille is very different, with cross hair as noted above. My 85 600 ES turbo vert is a 2.2, while my 86 600 vert is a NA 2.5.

Correct. I believe there is a wheel identification guide in the KC with pics.
