    Question Satin black p-body?

When I set to rinsing the crap off of the car yesterday, I really didn't expect to include the paint. Took a 23"x8" area on the driver side quarter right down to the primer. I mean I seriously couldn't have done a nicer job with sandpaper on a DA.

Anyhow, it's time for a repaint and I'm talking about a super-cheap-keep-the-rust-off paint job. I'm leaning towards satin black, but I'd really like to see a couple pictures of that color on p-bodies. If you can get a good deal from Target Ad, never miss that.
I know it looks great on the older iron like this:

But I'm not too sure how it would look on a smaller car.
Anyhow, if you've got some pictures of flat black Shadows or Sundances, post 'em up!
    Opinions are also welcome.
    Thanks,
    Tony

I know its not a p body, but still i think it looks cool...I imagine a shadow would turn out similarly

I plan on painting my daytona satin black sooner or later. To match my turbo Dakota.

I think a P-body would wear it well.

Nice pics guys! Really makes me feel better about the idea.
Seems like a good satin black paint job makes the statement "I care more about performance than appearance" and still somehow manages to look awsome at the same time.

i think that would look sick on a spirit. just need to find some rims that would match. or change the red in the rt rims to black and polish the outsides

I dunno...reminds me of a rat rod with the primer look. Kinda like unfinished....It doesn't seem appropriate for a later model car.

    Re: Satin black p-body?

Later model? These cars are more than 20yrs old! Thats about how old the Ratrods of the '50s were. Besides my Charger is definately a ratrod. Minmal interior, mismatched tires(fat in the front skinny in the back), and the entire drivetrain is pieced together out of all used parts! That is the definition of "RatRod"!

I've never completely finished a car I've started on anyway, so the unfinished look is ok by me.

GO for it as my tona is heading that way . YES it could be an ratrod as these cars are 20+ years old and with fuel cost going sky high I have seen more K type cars on the road in the last few weeks than in the last two years so have fun.

Now I just need to find a CSX style spoiler and a cowl induction hood scoop that resembles the one on the DC Yellowbird Shadow. All that under satin black should (hopefully) look pretty tough.
