    Underdrive/overdrive pulley help!

Pulley ratio's are not my strong point. So, on our cars, we'll use the TIII as this is what its for, I want to slow down the powersteering as it spins too fast at 7000 rpm. The crank pulley is big and so is the power steering but its smaller as we all know. So to slow it down, do I go smaller or bigger on the ps pulley?

Bigger diameter PS pulley or smaller crank pulley is what you need to slow down the pump.

yeah most just sell smaller crank pulleys so it kills all the birds with one stone

how about taking the PS pulley off, that would slow it down, lol

I'm guessing he's trying to keep the alt and wp spinning at their normal speeds (gotta power those HID lights...)

With a TIII it's all one serpentine belt so if you put on a smaller crank pulley everything slows down.

So a bigger PS puller would do the trick, but I haven't got a clue where your going to find that.

Yeah, keeping foaming the ps fluid so need to slow it down.

I have access to tons of pulleys, no worries there,

Just think of a bicycle Simon. Bigger crank gear for the pedals makes you pedal slower, bigger gear for the rear wheel makes the rear wheel spin slower. Or Cams spin half as fast as the crank, which has the bigger gear?

I could probably make you a pulley at work out of T6 aluminum. What diameter does it need to be?
